ST DAVID'S SCHOOL - PARENT TEACHERS & FRIENDS ASSOCIATION

What does the PTFA do?

The PTFA is a charity that raises money for the St David’s School through events and initiatives throughout the year from the Christmas Fairs, Easter Egg Hunts, Pumpkin Spice Disco, movie nights, non-uniform days, trips to the theatre and much much more.

What does the PTFA spend the funds on?

The PTFA liaises with the school to decide what equipment and resources are needed the most. The purchases are always used to enrich the children's education. For example, we have raised money for IT equipment, PE equipment, resources for reading, and playtime equipment.

How does the PTFA help the school?

The PTFA provides events such as the Christmas Concerts and Summer Sports Day by providing refreshments and additional help on the day. We attend Open Days to show prospective parents our commitment to providing extra resources for our pupils so that they have the very best education. We also provide little treats for the children such as Christmas gifts and Year 6 leavers’ gifts.

How do I get involved in the PTFA?

We are always looking for support for our fundraisers or events. You don’t need to be on the committee, we’re always looking for people to help out. If you’re not able to give time but you or your business could
donate funds or prizes for raffles etc, that is also very much appreciated.

If you would like to join in, help out or donate please contact the Chair of the PTFA, Suzy Battle on StDavidsColwinstonPTA@gmail.com.
